Franz Josef is located in South Westland, on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island.

Holly Homestead is located at 2900 Franz Josef Highway (on State Highway 6) approximately 1.5km north of the township of Franz Josef. This map indicates the location of Holly Homestead. Check-in time is between 3:00pm and 8:30pm unless prior arrangements have been made. Please note that Holly Homestead does not have 24 hour reception Please contact us if you require check-in outside these hours or wish to drop off your luggage before check-in time.

ACTIVITIES Holly Homestead is located in Franz Josef - home of the famous Franz Josef Glacier (one of NZ's icons) with many exciting activities. Stay for a few days to allow yourself time to explore this spectacular area. We are happy to recommend activities and assist you in booking them. We have experienced many of the local activities and attractions ourselves and love sharing our experiences with you. .

Scenic flights over the Glaciers to Fox and Franz or Mount Cook by helicopter or light aircraft White Heron Sanctuary Tours (November to March ) Lake tours and bird watching Guided Fishing Trips Ice Climbing Guided hikes on the glacier (Full or Half Day)
Bush, lake and coastal walks - Lake Matheson is a "MUST DO".
